The ALTA^® Industrial Ultrasonic Ranging Sensor measures and detects a wide range of levels and objects regardless of shape, color, or surface texture. With a rugged, weatherproof housing and two mountable, detachable 3-foot leads, the sensor is ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications.

The sensor sends a high-frequency sound pulse from the 3-foot lead with ultrasonic transducer to resonate at a frequency and convert electrical energy into acoustic energy and vice versa. The sound is transmitted to and reflected from a target back to the transducer.

Level Detection Made Easy

Industry use cases include detecting vehicles/objects, capturing liquid levels, and tracking production line processes and inventory. If a monitored variable varies from your preset limits, the sensor issues an alert via text, email, or call.

As a wireless, battery-powered sensor, it installs within 15 minutes. You have two mountable, detachable lead options. On one end, each lead features an M12 5-pin waterproof connecter with a steel-threaded collar. The sensing ends have a horn around the transducer disc to direct its pulsing echoes into a more precise, narrow pattern. The two leads differ in mounting or installation options. Along with the horn, the leads' sensing ends have either a Through Hole Mount with bulkhead adapter fitting or a 2-inch Threaded National Pipe Tapered (NPT) Hole Mount.

You can easily mount the horn to a tank, container, wall, or panel with these two options. This modularity is ideal for silos, tanks, containers, production lines, storage facilities, loading docks, trucks, and other difficult-to-network applications.
