The ALTA^® IoT Gateways and ALTA XL^® IoT Gateways combine a 4G LTE CAT-M1/NB2 cellular engine and Ethernet platform (commercial only) with Monnit’s wireless access point network to aggregate and communicate data from Monnit ALTA® Wireless Sensors.

The ALTA XL IoT Gateway also has a powerful wireless transceiver with up to 1 Watt transmission strength, an amplified receiver, and 4G LTE CAT-M1/NB2 cellular technology to backhaul ALTA® Wireless Sensor data. The ALTA and ALTA XL IoT gateways allow ALTA Wireless IoT Sensors to operate on the world’s leading cellular networks and stay connected to the Internet.

To meet the global demand for enterprise IoT deployment, the IoT Gateways communicate with the cloud-based iMonnit^TM Monitoring Software via cellular transmission, making it ideal for remote locations or where the Internet isn’t available. The RJ-45 Ethernet jack (commercial only) allows local device configuration, diagnostics, and connectivity backup. The IoT Gateway is instrumental in sending sensor notifications via text, email, or call if user-defined conditions are met or exceeded.
