Streamline Installation of ALTA Wireless Industrial 150 and 500 Amp Single-Phase and Three-Phase Current Meters with New Detachable Leads

SALT LAKE CITY—July 17, 2024—Monnit announced today the release of its ALTA® Wireless Industrial 150 and 500 Amp Single-Phase and Three-Phase Current Meters with new detachable 3-foot leads.

3-phase current meters with detachable leads

The new leads feature M12 5-pin connectors that attach to the meters' housing and current transformers (CTs) that clip around the wires of single-phase and three-phase power systems to ease installation in secure electrical control panels.

"Once again, we're delivering on our customers' requirements for practical, streamlined sensor installation and operation best practices," said Monnit Founder and CEO Brad Walters. "In this case, we have customers with secure, low to high-voltage electrical control panels who need to deploy versatile monitoring solutions using detachable, easy-to-install current sensing leads."

Our ALTA Industrial 150 and 500 Amp Current Meters precisely monitor and measure energy consumption. The meters' real-time and trending data can help you:

  • Optimize power use.
  • Conserve energy.
  • Predict maintenance.
  • Balance power loads.
  • Manage machine lifecycles.

You can configure the current meters to report:

  • Minimum, maximum, and average in Amp-RMS (root mean square)
  • Current accumulation in Amp-hours and kilowatt-hours

With the ALTA 150 and 500 Amp AC Current Meters, you can monitor the power consumption of various electrical systems and devices connected to single-phase electrical systems, such as servers, computers, motors, vending machines, etc.

The ALTA 150 and 500 Amp Three-Phase Current Meters help you monitor high-power commercial and industrial machines or equipment, such as HVAC systems and large factory machines connected to three-phase electrical systems.

How the Current Meters Operate

ALTA Current Meters measure one or three alternating current (AC) RMS signals produced by current transformers (CTs). The analog current measurements are periodically converted to digital current measurements based on a user-configurable measurement interval.

The meters report the minimum, maximum, and average current per CT, and the accumulated current over time at a user-configurable reporting interval or Heartbeat. On every Heartbeat, the meter reports its recorded measurements to the gateway, making the data available in iMonnit or other approved data services.

Connect to Nearly Anything Virtually Anywhere

Like all ALTA Sensors, the ALTA Industrial 150 and 500 Amp Current Meters excel with a long-range wireless radio frequency range of 2,000+ feet (non-line-of-sight) through more than 18+ walls in a building and a one-mile line of sight when connected to an ALTA XL® IoT or Ethernet Gateway.

Now is a Good Time to Buy

For a limited time, we're offering introductory pricing for the ALTA Industrial 150 and 500 Amp Single-Phase and Three-Phase Current Meters. Prices may increase in six months depending upon the meters' sales performance.
