IoT Expert Honors Continue for Our Expansive Spectrum of Innovative Solutions

You can see the breadth of Monnit's Internet of Things (IoT) solutions through the awards we win. Look no further than our two most recent wins that garnered honor from independent, third-party experts for our private wireless networks and smart agriculture innovation.

The 2024 IoT Evolution Private Wireless Network Innovation Award and the 2024 AgTech Breakthrough Water Monitoring Solution of the Year Award are also awards we haven't won before. Our collective award-winning culture keeps us focused on our commitment to providing the best IoT sensor solutions for organizations in nearly every industry worldwide.

Why We Won These Two Awards

If you have one to 100 ALTA® Wireless IoT Sensors connected to an ALTA or ALTA XL® Gateway and reporting data in iMonnit, you have your own ALTA Private Wireless Network. You can collect actionable data to help you solve specific issues associated with your industry application.

That's the value of our ALTA Long-Range, Low-Power Private Wireless IoT Network Platform, which won the 2024 IoT Evolution Private Wireless Network Innovation Award.

Our ALTA Soil Moisture Sensor has won awards since it came on the scene during the spring of 2021. However, this is the first time it's won the AgTech Breakthrough Water Monitoring Solution of the Year Award.

The judges recognized how the ALTA Soil Moisture Sensor can provide valuable and timely insights about water conservation and precision irrigation initiatives in smart agriculture applications. With the sensor's data, agriculturists can optimize water in many soil types, mitigate crop stress, and boost yields.

Protect Facilities and Assets with Water Intrusion Sensors

We hear it a lot. Customers frequently say, "If I only had your ALTA® Water Detection Sensors installed before we had the leak and flooding."

A pipe burst, or facility water intrusion can happen at the most inconvenient times—in the middle of the night or on weekends. A slow leak can cost you, too. No matter when it happens, dealing with up to tens of thousands of dollars in damage to facilities and assets can be infuriating, to say the least.

Our ALTA Wireless Water Detection Sensors sense water leaks, pooling, or floods in real time. You can place the sensors in vulnerable areas, such as basements, closets, and crawl spaces. Install them along walls, hallways, walkways, or near water pipes to send immediate alerts to your smartphone when water is detected.

ALTA Water Rope Sensor—Detect liquid anywhere along the up to 100-foot detection rope of two wires covered with conductive polymer.

ALTA Water Detect Plus Sensor—Place its 3-foot lead with a probe to detect the presence or non-presence of water or conductive liquids.

ALTA Water Detect Sensor—Monitor tanks, bilge, and sump pumps with this versatile sensor using a bare-wire lead end.

ALTA Water Detection Puck—Drop this submersible vulcanized rubber hockey puck sensor nearly anywhere water can go.

Every facility needs to be monitored for water intrusion. These sensors can give you peace of mind and tell you if something's leaking, bursting, or flooding immediately.

Tech Tip

How To Add Sensors Based on Order of Operations or Not

Do you have a new Monnit Sensor that you want to add to your existing IoT network?

If so, there’s a standard order of operations to get your sensors reporting data in iMonnit as soon as possible. The Monnit Knowledgebase article, “How to Add Sensors After Your Gateway is Already Checking Into iMonnit,” gives you the steps to take when you need to add:

  • New sensors to a current network
  • NIST-certified or recalibrated sensors
  • Sensors you received after the repair
  • Already powered-on sensors

The main message of this Tech Tip article is to reiterate the importance of following the standard order of operations when adding sensors to a network. Why is this important? It comes down to how long you may have to wait for sensor data to appear in iMonnit. Depending on how much you deviate from the standard, the time until you have sensor data in iMonnit may vary.

Take a few minutes to review the article and learn:

  1. The Monnit System Standard Order of Operations for adding sensors
  2. The Drawback of Deviating from the Standard
  3. What to do:
    1. If you have already set up outside of the standard and have access to your sensors
    2. If you have already set up outside of the standard and don’t have access to your sensors
